Ingredients  

  • 400 gr. ground beef

  • 500 gr. sausage, sliced

  • 1/2 cup onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 can tomatoes

  • 2 cans tomato paste

  • 2 cans tomato sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp basil

  • 1/2 tsp fennel seed

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Preparation

  1. Use a large skillet over medium heat to cook the sausage, beef, minced onion, and crushed garlic.

  2. Stir until well browned.

  3. Then, stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water.

  4. Mix in sugar and season with dried basil, fennel seed, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
