Bring a large pot with salted water to a boil, over high heat. Stir in the lasagna noodles, and wait until they boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, uncovered, until the lasagna is ready (8 minutes). Drain. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the pork sausage, ground beef, and garlic until the meat is no longer pink.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of lasagna noodles

  • 250 gr. ground pork sausage

  • 250 gr. ground beef

  • 2 packages shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 can of diced tomatoes

  • 2 cans of tomato sauce

  • 1 container sour cream

  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten

  • ½ cup green olives, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon parsley, dried

  • ½ tsp basil, dried

  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp oregano, dried

  • ½ tsp of sugar

  • 2 tsp of salt

  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Preparation

  1. Bring a large pot with salted water to a boil, over high heat. Stir in the lasagna noodles, and wait until they boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, uncovered, until the lasagna is ready (8 minutes).

  2. Drain. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the pork sausage, ground beef, and garlic until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, parsley, basil, oregano, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then lower the heat to medium-low. Simmer until the sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally for about 30 minutes.

  3. In a bowl, stir in the sour cream; add eggs, Parmesan cheese, 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese, green olives, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Grease a baking dish and spread a thin layer of meat sauce over the bottom and cover with 1/3 of the lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the remaining meat sauce, 1/3 of the sour cream mixture. Repeat the layers 2 more times. If any remaining mozzarella cheese, sprinkle it over the lasagna.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the sauce is bubbly and the top is golden brown, between 30 - 40 minutes.

  6. Remember to preheat the oven to 190 degrees C.
