Put the hake in a saucepan with plenty of water, add the chopped onions, garlic, a bit of oil, peppers, salt and boil for 15 minutes, low heat, until the sauce thickens.

Coconut Fish


Try it with some nice white wine

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Kg. of slices of hake

  • 1/2 Kg. rice

  • 2 medium size onions

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 2 red peppers

  • 200 gr. grated coconut

  • Oil

  • Salt

Preparation 

  1. Put the hake in a saucepan with plenty of water, add the chopped onions, garlic, a bit of oil, peppers, salt and boil for 15 minutes, low heat, until the sauce thickens.

  1. When the stew thickens, use a skimmer to take all the parts from the saucepan.

  2. Serve and sprinkle with the grated coconut.

  3. Serve with white rice.
